Keepsake Family History: Workshop Privacy Notice

This notice explains how personal data is used during Keepsake Family History workshops.

What happens to your data

During the workshop, you may choose to upload family history information into the Keepsake application so you can trial it.

 

This data:

  • Is accessible only to you
  • Is not reviewed or reused by the Keepsake team

After the workshop

After the workshop, you will be able to download your content.

 

The option will be given for participants to either:

 

  • Have their data and user account fully deleted after the workshop.
  • Keep their data and user account on the Keepsake platform to enable continuation of progress when the app goes live. If this is selected, participants can contact us at anytime to request deletion.

 

If data is deleted, no copies are retained.

Information about others

Some family history stories involve information about other people. We encourage you to consider carefully what you choose to upload, particularly where it relates to living individuals, and to ensure you have the right to share it.

 

Please note that participants are responsible for ensuring they have the relevant permissions and legal rights to use any material that they bring.

Photography

Photographs may be taken during the workshop for communications and promotional purposes. This will only be done with the explicit consent of participants, and participation in the workshop does not depend on providing this consent.

Consent

Participation requires your explicit consent, which you will be asked to provide in writing on the day.
